Are Snapchat hacks dangerous?
Snapchat, who hasn't heard of it. It is one of the most popular apps of the recent years. Especially among teens the app is very popular. Snapchat allows people to send videos and images to friends that are only visible for a set duration. Afterwards they disappear forever. At least that is what's supposed to happen. It seems like there are several Snapchat Hackers popping up on multiple websites.
These Snapchat hacks claim that they can hack into any Snapchat account and that you only need the username of your victim to start hacking them. I decided to investigate these Snapchat hacks to see whether or not they could actually do that and my findings were pretty shocking. I could not do all this by myself so I inquired my good friend Steve who is an expert in Cyber Security. He told me that Snapchat hacks are definitely possible due to the fact that Snapchat does not actually delete the images that they claim to delete. He explained to me that in order for Snapchat's replay function to work which they added recently they have to store the sent and received images somewhere on their servers. If these hacks break into their database and retrieve these images then Snapchat hackers are definitely possible.
I tested the out one of the Snapchat spies on my own account and I was shocked when it showed me all the images I had ever sent or received on that account. On the one hand I was pretty happy because it showed me some good memories that I had experienced but on the other hand I felt like my privacy was violated. With tools like these anyone can spy on Snapchat and that is quite a scary thought. I definitely hope that Snapchat will fix hacks like these, even if it means removing the replay feature. Snapchat's main draw has always been that the images are only visible for a set amount of time. They should go back to their basics and leave their replay feature behind if it means compromising their basic idea.
